Bad Vibes From Oba

Maybe I'm reading too much into this, but I don't like the vibes that Newcastle new arrival Obafemi Martins made in this story at icNewcastle.

Martins is just starting to settle in as a striker at St. James Park after coming to England from Inter Milan, starting to score goals and sync up with the midfield. But in the story at icNewcastle, he said he never would rule out a return to Inter -- after winning silverware at Newcastle -- and also mentions how he and teammate Emre, a former teammate at Inter, talk often about their days at the Italian club.

I don't question Oba's loyalty. And I'm sure he had a good time at Inter. But crikey, he's been at Newcastle for less than two months and he's already saying that he'd never rule out a return to Italy.

I doubt I'm the only Magpies' supporter who was rubbed the wrong way by those comments.
