Sony Is Full Of Shit, Part II

Hardly a day passes without a Sony executive making a statement about the upcoming PlayStation 3 video game console that makes you stop, scratch your head and say, "What the f*ck?"

Today's tainted piehole uttering comes from Sony Computer Entertainment America President Kaz Hirai, who claimed that the company's decision to exclude rumble function from the PS3 controller was a "strategic" move.

"But the other problem, or the balancing act that you need to do, is to be able to present the controller to the consumer at an affordable price," Hirai said. "We have one controller in the box, but many consumers will want to go out and get an extra controller. And if we have to come up with technology - which you can technically do - to isolate the vibration from the sensing, if that means that the controllers are going to be so expensive, then we're doing the consumer a huge disservice by coming up with a controller that is not very affordable."

Wait a minute -- the president of a company that's putting a $600 video game console on the market in two months is worried about a controller being too expensive? The same company that's inflating the price of its console just to shove Blu-ray, the next Betamax, down our throats?

What the f*ck? What? The? F*ck? The hypocrisy meter just spiked. Read the complete story here.
